the Final :: Fifa World Cup South Africa 2010
Johannesburg, South Africa

You’ve probably all heard by now of Paul the Octopus who has correctly predicted with 100% accuracy all of Germany’s results so far in the FIFA World Cup 2010. In case you didn’t know already Paul chooses from 2 boxes with the flags of the relevant countries on.

Now after Germany’s semi-final defeat against Spain we know they won’t be in the final on Sunday, although they will be in the third place playoff tomorrow (Saturday) against Uruguay. All the speculation yesterday was about whether Paul would make a forecast for the Netherlands vs Spain final. However we then told you how Paul’s spokesman had said he may not make a forecast for both remaining matches as the pressure may be too much for him.

We told you we’d keep you up to date with Paul’s predictions and it seems today he has made his choice for the final two matches of the World Cup 2010. It seems as though he was able to cope with the pressure better than anticipated! For the third place spot, Paul, who lives in Germany has picked Germany to win, according to Emma Rowley on Sky News.

So it’s all eyes for the Final prediction….cue drum roll. Paul picked Spain to beat the Netherlands and the people of Spain will no doubt be rejoicing as during this World Cup Paul hasn’t been wrong yet. For more on this go to Sky.com. Do you agree with Paul’s predictions, or maybe you think he hasn’t got 8 legs to stand on
